Beautiful Summer Morning Engagement at Pinehurst Resort / NC Wedding Photographer

     There is something incredibly special about slowing down and embracing a quiet morning, especially during one of the busiest weekends of the summer. Jack and Gracie's engagement session was originally scheduled for the evening of July 3rd, but between the holiday festivities, fireworks, and record-breaking heat, we decided to make a last-minute change. Instead of battling the crowds and temperatures, we met at 8:00 a.m. on a peaceful Sunday morning—and it turned out to be absolutely perfect.

     Jack and Gracie's story began while Jack was stationed at Fort Bragg. What started as a chance meeting soon grew into a relationship built on love, friendship, and adventure. On December 30, Jack asked Gracie to marry him in one of the most iconic locations in New York City—Belvedere Castle in Central Park. It was the perfect setting to begin the next chapter of their story together.

     For their engagement session, we wandered through the timeless beauty of The Carolina Hotel, taking advantage of the soft morning light that perfectly complemented the historic elegance of the property. With quiet walkways and beautifully manicured grounds, every corner offered a classic backdrop that felt effortlessly romantic.  One of my favorite moments of the morning came when one of the Pinehurst Resort trolley drivers graciously offered us a ride over to Pinehurst Country Club. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the morning feel even more memorable. We explored the iconic clubhouse grounds, soaking in the charm and history that make Pinehurst such a beloved destination, a destination where they will say their 'I do's".

    Jack and Gracie were so natural together in front of the camera. They laughed easily, enjoyed every moment together, and made the entire session feel relaxed and genuine. It is always a joy photographing couples who simply enjoy being together, and these two made my job incredibly easy.  From the peaceful morning atmosphere to the timeless Pinehurst scenery, this engagement session was the perfect reminder that sometimes changing the plan leads to something even better. I absolutely loved spending the morning with Jack and Gracie, and I cannot wait to celebrate alongside them on their wedding day. If this session is any indication, their wedding is going to be every bit as joyful, elegant, and unforgettable as their love story.
