This engagement session in the Village of Pinehurst and at The Carolina Hotel was extra special to me for so many reasons. I first met Annabelle over five years ago at her sister Olivia’s engagement session. Annabelle was there holding JB — the absolute cutest pup — so he could be included in photos with Olivia and John.  I saw her again for Olivia and John’s beautiful December wedding. So when Annabelle’s name popped up in my inbox with news of her own engagement, I was beyond excited!

     Annabelle and Evan met through mutual friends at a local bar in Raleigh. After about an hour of talking, Evan knew he didn’t want the night to end — so he asked her on a date right then and there. That instant connection turned into something really special, and in mid-August, Evan popped the question in Corolla in the Outer Banks.  Evan planned a family week-long vacation and surprised Annabelle with a stay at the Corolla Village Inn as a “birthday present.” But the real surprise came the very first morning of their trip. During a quiet walk on the beach, Evan proposed with the ocean as their backdrop — the sweetest and most meaningful moment to kick off their time together in OBX.

     For their engagement session, Pinehurst was the perfect setting. We started at The Carolina Hotel, whose timeless elegance fit Annabelle and Evan perfectly.
We then wandered through the charming Village of Pinehurst.  Between the soft light, classic architecture, and their natural chemistry, this session felt effortless and full of joy.  Annabelle and Evan, I am so honored to be a small part of your story and cannot wait to celebrate you both even more as you head into this next chapter. Their wedding day is going to be incredible, and I already know it will be filled with just as much love, laughter, and intention as this session.
