Sweet family session with some old friends / Pinehurst NC photographer

Some sessions feel less like work and more like catching up with old friends, and Jonathan and Anna's maternity session was exactly that.

I first met these two nearly nine years ago when they made the trip to North Carolina for their engagement session. Not long after, I had the honor of photographing what remains one of my favorite weddings to date—their beautiful 2018 celebration in Conway, South Carolina. From the beginning, they were the kind of couple who made every moment effortless, and over the years they have remained incredibly special to me.

A lot has changed since those wedding days. Life has brought new adventures, new memories, and now a growing family. It was such a gift to see them again as they traveled back to North Carolina for a quick maternity session before welcoming their newest little one.

As we walked and photographed, we spent much of the session catching up on life. We laughed about how they remembered when my girls were still little, and how quickly the years have passed. Now those little girls are growing up, and Jonathan and Anna have a sweet three-year-old of their own with another baby on the way. It's one of the greatest privileges of being a photographer—getting to witness not just a wedding day, but the beautiful chapters that follow.

Watching them interact as a family was such a reminder of why I love what I do. The same love, joy, and connection I photographed years ago is still so evident today, only now it has expanded to include their little one and the excitement of welcoming a new baby.

Jonathan and Anna, thank you for making the trip and allowing me to capture this season for your family. It was such a joy to spend time together again, and I loved hearing about all that life has brought your way over the past several years.

The next time we get together, I'll be making the trip to the beach to see you. Until then, I can't wait to watch your family continue to grow and celebrate this exciting new chapter.
