Although the forecast threatened rain for most of the week, the day unfolded beautifully, wrapped in soft light, excitement, and the kind of love that fills every room it enters. Surrounded by their incredible families and the sweetest circle of friends, Daniel and Madelyn celebrated the beginning of their marriage in the heart of Pinehurst — a place deeply meaningful to them both.

I first met these two at their engagement session at The Carolina Hotel, where their connection was instantly effortless and genuine. Madelyn grew up in the charming village of Pinehurst, while Daniel, originally from Boston, quickly fell in love with both the town and its legendary golf culture. Choosing Pinehurst for their wedding weekend felt not only natural, but deeply personal — a perfect reflection of their story.

The morning began in a beautiful home just moments from the historic Village Chapel. As I walked through the doors, I was welcomed with laughter, excitement, and the kind of anticipation that only comes with a long-awaited wedding day. Madelyn spent the morning surrounded by her bridesmaids, relaxing with refreshments while songs from Wicked played in the background — a detail that made the atmosphere feel even more memorable and personal.  Nearby, the gentlemen prepared for the day. In true Pinehurst fashion, a golf ball or two may have been hit before the ceremony officially began.

As the morning unfolded, everyone gathered at the Village Chapel where Madelyn finished getting ready. One of the sweetest moments of the day came during her first look with her father. The moment he saw his daughter, his face lit up with the biggest smile before pulling her into the sweetest embrace. It was a quiet, heartfelt moment filled with so much love.

Before walking down the aisle, Daniel and Madelyn chose to share a private first touch. Standing carefully around the corner from one another, Daniel made sure not to peek as they exchanged a few words together. He asked Madelyn what she had been up to all morning before softly telling her he loved her and would see her soon. It was intimate and such a beautiful pause before the ceremony began.
