Tucked beneath the towering pines of Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities, John and Katie’s engagement session felt like the perfect blend of quiet elegance and heartfelt story—much like their relationship itself.

These two math teachers first crossed paths at Enloe High School on their very first day of work in 2018. What started as coworkers quickly turned into something more. By 2019, their connection grew naturally—sharing classrooms, conversations, and eventually Friday nights out with friends. It was the kind of slow, steady beginning that builds something real.

On February 16, 2020, they went on their first official date—and Katie just knew. Sometimes love doesn’t need time to figure itself out. Sometimes it’s just clear.

Their proposal story is just as meaningful. At the end of a summer break, they snuck away for a short beach trip, hoping to soak in a beautiful sunrise or sunset. The weather had other plans, but it didn’t matter. During a quiet early morning walk along the shore, John asked Katie to marry him—and she said yes before he could even finish asking. Proof that the weather doesn’t have to be perfect to create a moment that is unforgettable.

Since August 15, 2025, they’ve been joyfully engaged and soaking in this sweet season of life together.
