What a Catch / Beautiful Summer Wedding Day in Ramseur NC / NC Wedding Photography
I first spoke with Shelby in January of this year. Her wedding was rescheduled due to Covid but they also had a Football schedule to manage. She told me all about Sean playing football and her career as a nurse. When you think about, they really are the perfect match. Gabby, who was one of her friends and owner of Rustic Rooster, was originally supposed to photograph their day, but with the change, Gabby was already booked (she's a busy photographer!). She did their engagement pictures and her beautiful bridal session (which included her mother and grandmother...so sweet). So I didn't actually get to meet them until their wedding day. By the end of the evening, had to reach out to Gabby to thank her for introducing us. THEY WERE AMAZING!
Now July weddings are never easy. I was married in July so I know. But it was a beautiful day. I walked into the Harvest House and got to meet Shelby, her friends, and her mom and Sean's. I then noticed a very tall man with, what my husband would call, a glorious beard and I thought...that must be Sean. When he entered the room he was getting ready in, he saw gift upon gift from Shelby. Shelby later told me that all the gifts just seemed to fit him that she just couldn't decide. He remarked about what he got her, a puzzle of the two of them, put together and framed but missing one piece. She was the piece that completed him...it brought Shelby to tears.
I quickly found out how important family was to Sean and Shelby...And they have an amazing family. From Sean's moments with his mother and father (with a couple of the most thoughtful gifts) to Shelby with her mother and grandmother. Shelby's mother provided the borrowed, old, and blue in a necklace. I have to say it was beautiful and carried such value, given to Shelby's mother when she was little by her father. It stayed by Shelby's side throughout the day.
The ceremony was short and sweet, full of tears and laughter. The ring bearers and flower girls were the most adorable little ones...and they all made it down the aisle. After the ceremony, we got to enjoy and beautiful sky and took lots of portraits. Shelby was radiant and Sean, looking very dapper, was such a sport. I must have told them one more shot...one more kiss..about 5 million times. The reception quickly came and went with sweet dances, sweet cupcakes, and a garter (wrapped around a football) thrown into the crown of men. There was also plenty of dancing. It was an amazing day with even more amazing people. Congratulations, Sean and Shelby. Here are a few favs from the day! Here's to many years of love, laughter, tears, and tackles...without trips to the ER...unless you are heading to work.
