TONY + DIAMOND | WEDDING

Traditional Spanish Wedding in Charlotte, NC / NC Wedding Photographer

     I knew when I first met Tony and Diamond, that their wedding would be unique.  Diamond has a flare for planning and was so organized, as she planned their wedding day full of tradition.  It was quite the day and was full of celebration.  I arrived early (as I always do) to find a quiet house where Diamond was getting ready.  It was full of flowers and she was so calm (although a little surprised to see me early:).  We talked about the beautiful dress her mother-in-law got her with a long, elegant train.  She was truly a princess and as sweet as sweet can be.  She is full of grace and gentle and incredibly considerate, making sure everyone (including her photographers) were well taken care of.  Tony was getting ready in their home as well.  I know his groomsmen were ready to get this celebration started and we were off to the church before too long.  

    The ceremony was a traditional Catholic Mass with beautiful music sung by their friends in Spanish.  This was the first ceremony that I got to witness the Lazo.  It is a jeweled rope that is placed around the necks of the couple in a number 8 after they have exchanged their vows. The lasso represents their linked future together.  It was so sweet as tony's parents placed the rope around the two to signify their bond.  Diamond also shared her first communion during the ceremony.  

    After the ceremony, we headed to the reception, where there was lots of amazing music.  The Mariachi band carried throughout the hall and two little children couldn't help but twirl and dance to their songs (so sweet!).  The traditions continued through the evening.  And to tell you how amazing this couple was, right after they cut their cake and shared a kiss, Diamond cut a second piece...for me!  What a special couple.  I consider it such an honor to be a part of such an amazing day.  Here are a few of my favorites!  Congratulations, Tony and Diamond.
