TYLER + CASSIE | WEDDING
Middle School Best friends become high school sweethearts & get married / NC Wedding Photographer
This day was one for the records. Tyler and Cassie have known each other for over nine years and when you look at them, it pretty much means they have been together since they were in middle school. Cassie is the perfect JBbride…she LOVES pictures! I remember meeting her through email and saw that she had beautiful engagement pictures done by a fellow photographer that I knew. So when I booked her and told her I include engagements, I was so surprised to hear that she wanted to do a destination engagement and LOVES pictures. Tyler was such a supportive fiancé and now husband and was such a sport through our engagement session and then through the 45 minutes of portraits we had on their wedding day (MY KIND OF WEDDING…I never get this much portrait time!). Cassie kept telling me “I am game…wherever you want to go. I trust you.” These were such sweet words from an even sweeter bride. It was perfect. It was my first wedding at the Farmstead in Mount Pleasant, NC. It was such an amazing spot for a wedding.
I walked into this day knowing that there was a significant chance of rain and also knowing Cassie wanted as many outdoor portraits as possible…so the pressure was on! What I found when I arrived at the venue was that Tyler and Cassie win the award for having the largest group of best friends. I arrived to the cottage where the ladies were getting ready all 13 of them…or more. I lost count. Then Tyler was with his 12 groomsmen. So much fun. They were all there to do whatever it took to support this couple. We were all ready for portraits and heard the thunder…I asked Cassie if she wanted to hold off but she confidently said, “let’s go for it!” So in record time, we ran out to a field with the venue close behind and took lots of pictures…with all of her ladies. Then made it back for a first look with her father and brothers all before it started to rain. It was AMAZING! Such a gift. Tyler and Cassie then had a touching prayer under a tree during a light sprinkle. They were ready to get married.
They are so loved and adored by their people and it made their day full and so incredibly joyful. It was so sweet to see how many of their friends and family were in tears as Cassie walked down the aisle. I smiled as I watched Tyler turn around and see his bride enter with so much love that it was impossible to hold back the tears. I also got to experience the friendship between Tyler and Cassie. Their vows were perfect. "Never would I have thought my future wife would be my best friend in middle school." Said Tyler beaming with his dimples. "I knew I loved you since we were fourteen." exclaimed Cassie. They have been through so much together and we excited to face the future together. It was a stunning day at the Farmstead and I can’t wait for you to see their day through our eyes!!! Enjoy scrolling and getting to know this sweet JB Couple who now have a piece of our hearts!!!
