Elegant and Beautiful Spring Wedding Day for High School Sweethearts / Village Pine Venue
If every weekend could be like this one, it would be such bliss. I wasn't able to meet Amy and Jacob until Saturday due to our engagement being rained out, but they were so easy to work with and photograph, it was as if we already knew each other. It was a rainy week leading up to Saturday, which may everything so vibrant and the Gardens in full bloom when we arrived. There was such beautiful detail and florals that made Village Pine sparkle all the more...and even the bees were busy at work tending to all the amazing natural beauty this spot has to offer. I arrived and finally met Amy. What a doll. She was so sweet and beaming. Her best friends and family surrounded her with love (and plenty of singing). It made the start of the day amazing...and it just kept getting better.
Jacob and Amy shared a private first look and intimate and thoughtful vows. Their words gave a wonderful glimpse into their lives, growing up together. We gathered the party together for some fun photos and then on to the ceremony. Jacob took a deep breath as he say Amy...as if he had seen her for the first time in her beautiful gown. Amy too had to pause, look up in the sky, and breathe. So much joy and emotion. It was a very special ceremony as the couple exchanged rings and their commitment to one another.
The reception was very lively with some of my favorite speeches given by Jacob's father who brought me to tears as he mentioned that when he took Jacob to his first date with Amy, little did he know it would be his last first date...wow! Jacob's brother was hilarious, his sister was tearful and tender, and Amy's best friend let us all in to how God has impacted her life through Amy. Amy also spoke, which I rarely see, but she was eloquent as she thanked some special people in her life, her mom being a major one. It was such a beautiful speech with Amy giving her mom her bouquet.
Now onto the dancing...with NC State mascots! The dance floor was packed the whole time (as you will see from all the pictures). It was a celebration from beginning to end. Jacob and Amy, you were a joy to photograph. May God bless you and keep you, may His face continue to shine upon you. And just remember, the best is yet to come!
