Beautiful Spring Wedding Day at Weymouth Garden / Southern Pines, NC Wedding Photographer

     I have to say that spring time is my favorite time for weddings.  The April showers leading up to this wedding day, cooled the air and washed off some pollen...and everything looked so fresh and beautiful.  Weymouth is one of Southern Pine's gems and my favorite spots in my town.  I arrived early, excited to get started.  Since Connor and Laura are from out of town, I wasn't able to meet them for an engagement...and Laura's bridal session was called off due to a hurricane...but the weather and this couple couldn't have been more perfect.  His best friends were fun and kept Connor relaxed and Laura's bridesmaids and man of honor were perfect...just what Laura needed.  I have never seen a man (or maid) of honor work as hard as Jacob did...her train was always perfectly placed.  Of course I was greeted with Laura's beautiful smile...and I actually knew one of her bridesmaids...Emily!!!!  It was so great to see one of my previous brides.  It may this day all the more special.

    I loved Connor and Laura's first look.  They took a moment to breathe it in.  It was so sweet (I got lots of pictures!).  Then we gathered for portraits with their favorite people.  Before too long, it was time to leave for the ceremony.  They shared sweet vows with promises they made to each other.  I love they wrote their own personal vows.  Connor even carried Laura's grandmother's handkerchief and handed it over to her when she needed it.  So much joy and love.  It was such a blessing to be there to capture it.

    Now for the reception...I have shot many receptions...many with groups that love to dance.  But rarely do I see a party that celebrates like this crowd...EVERYONE was dancing and singing!  As I made my way through the packed dance floor, I saw so much fun jammed into one space...LOL!  It was such a great time.  At the end of the night, the crowd (and I say that because everyone was there) kept singing!  They didn't need music or the band.  It was such a fun-filled wedding day.  Connor and Laura, congratulations!!!  It was perfect!  Just remember that the best is yet to come!
