Sweet and Intimate Pinehurst Wedding at the Village Chapel and reception at the Railhouse Brewery / NC Wedding Photographer

      Welcome 2021!  Michael and Lauren got through 2020 and planned the sweetest 2021 wedding.  They are two of the most flexible people I have ever met...so much that when their original plans started to fall through, they simply readjusted and came up with a new plan.  Their wedding was simple and perfect!  It was a beautiful day, full of sunshine.   I met with Lauren at The Village Chapel in Pinehurst.  She had her bridesmaids with her, the two sweet girls she has nannied for since the oldest was 2 months old.  These two were the best bridesmaids...they were so excited for Lauren and referred to her as the most beautiful princess.  

     Lauren and Michael love the downtown Pinehurst area.  They love the library and the shops. This is where he proposed and where we met for their engagement session.  So the Given Memorial Library was the perfect spot for their first look.  Michael was all smiles when he saw her princess.  They took a moment together and then were ready for portraits (my kind of couple!).   Time with them flew by so quickly.  Lauren's father and step-father were waiting for their girl to walk her down the isle.  The Ceremony was sweet and when the left the Chapel, they were greeted with cheers and rose petals.  Of course they shared a kiss or two while their best friends and family showered them with flowers.

     The reception took place at the Railhouse Brewery in Aberdeen, one of Michael's favorite places.  Lauren joked that when he would go out, he would usually make a pit stop...and inevitably wind up at the brewery.  I walked in and immediately knew why Michael feels at home.  Being prior service myself, I love the simple and patriotic feel of the place.  I definitely heard my old Soldier say "Hooah!" to myself.  Their shared a sweet first dance and enjoyed wonderful food and beer with their closest friends.  It was a relaxed and fun evening...we even got to sneak out for some sunset pictures on the train tracks (non-active tracks, of course).  It was a wonderful evening and I am so excited to be in 2021!  It has been an amazing year so far!  Congratulations, Michael and Lauren!  Here are a few favorites from the day!
