     I love getting to know my sweet couples.  Michael and Lauren are SO cute.  They first met in kindergarten...how cool is that?!  She helped him carry a see-saw. They also attended middle and high school together but never spoke.  She went off to college/grad school and he went off to the military but thanks to social media, he reached out and she finally decided to go on a date with "the quiet guy from high school" and that was it. They've been together since 2017 and engaged since August!  Speaking of engagements, Michael used some delicious C. Cups Champagne cupcakes to propose!  He took her into Pinehurst with the promise of stopping for cupcakes at C.Cups. When he parked the truck, he pulled out a pink bakery box from the backseat of the truck. The stinker had already been to the bakery! (her words, not mine). So, they strolled along the village green and we stopped at that little bench tucked into the trees right behind the library (because books are Lauren's happy place)... the bench that is dedicated to the "loving memory of our cherished ones." He sat Lauren down, got down on one knee, pulled from the bakery box this wonderful glittery pink champagne cupcake with a diamond ring winking up from the frosting, and asked if she would consider being his forever. Of course she said yes! 

     So, of course, we had to start our session where it all happened...the Pinehurst Library.  And we had to include some yummy cupcakes!!!!  2021 is going to be an amazing year!
